Bribing worms is not the most efficient way to harvest Vermicast. We still suggest the “hostile environment” method. After only a few days, the worms simply ate all the food and spread out again. If checked after one day there is a concentration of worms under the food, certainly enough to remove ¼ lb or so but the remaining Vermicast has a very high worm count as well. So, if you want to reduce the worm count of your bin, the bribery method is great but, if you want to harvest Vermicast stick with the hostile environment method.
