Last month we joined Traditional gardener Audrey for her spring sun root harvest http://www.naturesperfectplantfood.com/2012/03/18/sun-root-spring-harvest/ a wonderful event to be sure. Today we planted four tubers in our own yard. The spot we picked is a close to undisturbed as you can find. This area has not been planted or tilled for close to 20 years. The original property owners had a patch of Lily of the Valley here and as hardy as they are over time a variety of native plants have crept in. Smack dab in the middle of this we’ve dug a small hole and popped in the “ground breaker” Sun root. As our growing season progresses we’ll see how she does and as always keep you posted. On another note, we’ve finally put a search bar on the web page for you. This should make finding information a lot easier. Right now you need to scroll to the bottom of each page to find it but we’re working on moving it to the top, stay tuned.
