Last year at this time all the snow was gone! This season we are still waiting for the 3 (used to be 4) foot snow pack to melt from our out-door vermicomposting facility. It’s a marvel of mother nature’s adaptability. There are pros and cons to the amount of snow and the below normal temperatures, one the one hand the snow insulates and protects our worms, on the other it prevents us from harvesting. This leads us to the real purpose of todays post; worm orders have been suspended, weather pending. We feel awful about having to put our valued customers on the waiting list and promise that we’ll be out there pickin’ worms as soon as we can. In the spirit of education, school orders will take precedent once we begin production. Fingers crossed for an early spring we will keep you posted.
