HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2013 has been a busy year at NATURE’S PERFECT PLANT FOOD; we’ve shared the joy of vermicomposting far and wide with expansions through the province. Our Manure Management program has been a success; four more farms are using our worms to produce casting for their organic fertilizer needs. ( learn more here ) It’s not too late to turn your poop into profit, use the contact box right here on the webpage, we’ll fix you up this spring. We’ve sent Red Wigglers far and wide and can now boast that Manitoba bred worms are living as far north as Yellowknife and Lake Athabasca. Worms have gone south of the border to Jamaica. In exciting news from our First Nations communities, vermicomposting is taking off; reserves all over Northern Manitoba are growing their own soil. Hello to our friends in Fox Lake and Grand Rapids, Dauphin and Flin Flon too. Kids and worms go together like, pigs in sh*t, schools have embraced worm farming in a big way. We’d like to send out a huge thank you to all those hard-working teachers brave enough to host a vermicomposting bin in the classroom. As always feel free to drop us a line with any question or comment and the very best of luck in 2014!
This years photo shows what happens to near boiling water when launched into the air in -30 C temperatures. It makes the coolest whoosh sound and explodes into steam! Just for fun!
